A TV Commercial by Nextwave on 3 new games from Funskool

Nextwave has just completed a TV commercial on three popular international games - Bed Bugs, Loopin’ Louie and Hungry Hippos - being brought to India for the first time by Funskool. The exciting, fast-paced 20-sec TVC featured children and animated graphics, with the sound effects and music contributing to creating the excitement. The kids had a whale of a time playing the games during the shooting, and it shows in the film! The TVC will be shown in popular kids channels soon. You can see a peek preview here.

Leading Business Daily, features, ‘Nextwave’

The ‘Economic Times’ a leading business daily of India featured Nextwave in its ‘India Emerging’ section on April 8th 2011.

The article ‘Smart Applications in Growing Business’ by Radhika P Nair discusses the new breed of mobile entrepreneurs cashing in on the application ecosystem created by mobile handset makers and the app stores set up by them. The article mentions six gaming companies, Nextwave is mentioned for having more than a millions of apps across all the app stores. One of their most popular app is ‘Comics Creator’ which recently won two international prizes.

3D Game assets created using Blender

The recently launched ‘World Cricket Championship’ game by Nextwave Multimedia uses open source, free software, ‘Blender’ to create low polygon modeling, character animation, background and props.
